New Feature: Pre-Authorize Customer Cards!

We're thrilled to introduce a powerful new way to help you manage your subscriptions and secure your revenue with confidence. You can now pre-authorize a customerโ€™s card to validate funds before their trial period ends.

This exciting update is specifically for your subscription-based products with a trial period enabled. Itโ€™s the perfect way to ensure a customer's payment method is valid and has sufficient funds, saving you from failed payments and potential churn when the trial is over.

How to Get Started

Setting up pre-authorization is a quick and easy two-step process within your PayKickstart account.

  1. Navigate to Product Settings: Go to your Campaigns page, select a recurring product with a trial, and click the Pricing tab.

  2. Enable Authorization: You'll see a new option to Collect Payment Method. Simply check the box, enter your desired pre-authorization amount ($1 to $100 is our recommendation), and hit Save.

This feature does not charge your customer immediately. It only places a temporary hold on the funds to verify the card's validity. The pre-authorization hold will be automatically released within approximately 7 days unless the payment is successfully captured.
